Individual and group coaching
Individual coaching is available for career and role issues and for questions concerning professional identity. The reflection on one’s own leadership role with a specialist who is outside the system provides good support with the differentiated realisation of one’s own responsibilities. In my work, the reflection on the tension between the professional role and the authentic person regularly takes key priority, e.g. in terms of the following questions:
- How can you remain your own self in connection with a challenging professional role?
- What ethical and moral questions (and tensions) arise from your role?
- Is the institution in which you are currently working right for you or would a switch to a different institution or into self-employment be worthwhile for you?
- Is your life balance in order?
Group coaching deals with typical supra-individual questions concerning a certain hierarchical level. Working in a group offers the advantage that every group member can learn from the experience of others, allowing them to better realize which professional questions are personal and which questions are related to the role. Typical questions asked during group coaching include:
- How do you deal with a hierarchical "sandwich position" in which you are required to manage pressure from both the bottom and the top?
- What is part of your professional appearance?
- How to establish a good error handling culture in a division/team/organization?
- What do you need to distinguish well between "important" and "urgent" topics and act accordingly?
